I love teaching just as much as I love making new things to share. Here’s a menu of workshops I’ve taught and projects I’d be thrilled to teach you or your groups. Many of the projects revolve around crafts, bookbinding, painting, and journaling, but I’m always developing more fun workshops so check back often for updates!

  • Saddle-Stitched Art Journals

    Create your own mixed-media journal using saddle-stitched bookbinding techniques. You will select from a variety of papers, including watercolor, vellum, textured paper, and more to create a personalized notebook in which you can explore your creativity.

  • Fabric Coil-Bound Journals

    Create a beautiful fabric-covered journal to jot down to-do lists, sketch out doodles, watercolor illustrations, or capture ideas! You will select from a variety of papers for the interior, including watercolor, lined, blank, and fountain pen-friendly.

  • Paper Play

    Add fun elements to your journals that will make memories pop and invite interaction. Step-by-step, you’ll practice adding playfulness and intrigue to ordinarily flat pages, including waterfall photos, peek-a-boo windows and doors, swivels, pockets, and more.

  • Coptic-Stitched Mini Journals

    Make a mini journal using the coptic stitch method! Choose from a selection of papers for the interior, including watercolor, lined, blank, or fountain pen-friendly paper and create a hardcover notebook using a selection of gorgeous patterned paper.

  • Watercolor Brush Lettering

    Practice the basic strokes, forms, and techniques needed to level up your hand-lettering skills. Using a brush and watercolors or fountain pen inks, you’ll learn to look at the alphabet in a whole new way as you gracefully paint your way from A to Z.

  • Loose Watercolor Florals

    Watercolors are such a wonderful art medium! Get comfortable painting with them while creating simple florals and discover the fun properties of this paint. You’ll learn how to paint several flowers and leaves and in the end, have a colorful garden on paper!

  • Gouache Florals

    Gouache paint allows for different forms of layering and beautiful effects you can’t achieve with translucent watercolors. Using this opaque paint, you’ll create a vibrant bouquet of flowers against a bold background to help you understand the medium.

  • Illustrated Memories

    If a picture is worth a thousand words, imagine the vibrant stories you’ll be able to tell if you pair your art with words. You’ll play a few writing games, identify a special memory, sketch out ideas, and learn how to develop a visual story that will bring this moment to life. 

  • Architecture Sketches

    If you’ve always been in awe of buildings around you, then this class will demystify what it takes to capture those architectural details on paper. We’ll break down a home to its basic shapes and develop an eye for proportions to lay down the foundation for a sketch.

  • Creative Bullet Journaling

    Create a planner that’s uniquely yours using inspiration from the Bullet Journal Method and your own creativity. You’ll learn the basics of setting up a journal, create several initial spreads, practice decorative doodles to add whimsy to your pages, and be set for bujo success!

  • Sketch Diary

    Draw your day and learn how to keep a visual diary of your everyday adventures or far-off escapes! Using a sample day, you’ll map out your page elements, explore composition, and learn how to develop a beautiful representation of your day for your memory book.

  • Art Journal Collages

    What does it take to create an art journal spread that looks cohesive? We’ll go through composition and layering various elements so they play well on the page together. In the end, you’ll walk away with a solid collage technique you’ll want to try again and again.

  • Intro to Watercolors

    Learn the basics of watercolors, get comfortable with this popular medium, and play around with its fun properties. You’ll create swatch cards, paint gradients, introduce unexpected materials for cool effects, and explore this addition to your art tool kit.

  • Intro to Gouache

    Learn the basics of gouache paint, how it differs from other paint media, how to use it, and why it’s such a fun material to add to your artistic process. If you’ve only used watercolors or acrylic paints before, this class will show you why gouache could help mix things up.

  • Watercolor Fruits & Veggies

    Paint a pantry of produce that will never go bad! You’ll learn how to paint loose and easy fruits and veggies using photos for inspiration, breaking down their shapes, colors, and composition. In the end, you’ll be able to translate images into simple paint sketches.

  • Goauche Folk Art

    Create gorgeous patterns by mixing gouache paint and folk art techniques. In this class, you’ll practice painting common botanical folk art motifs, learn how to layer on details to make your elements pop, and together, we’ll paint our way to a vibrant masterpiece.
