Writer and Artist and Teacher and…
Life is full of so many amazing things to discover, it’s no wonder why my journey has taken me in all these directions. I’m a New York City-based writer, artist, and teacher with a lifelong passion for all things creativity. Writing and art have always been a huge part of my self-expression with the latter leading me to explore watercolors, gouache, bookbinding, hand-lettering, and even developing my own line of stationery!
My endless curiosity has also helped me craft a perfect work life of my own design. Journalism has given me the opportunity to meet and share the stories of so many incredible humans and my love for sharing what I’ve learned has blossomed into teaching opportunities across the country. Through my various workshops, I’ve taught kids as young as two and adults as old as 102! And with my YouTube channel, I continue to reach creatives from around the world.
After studying architecture, I pursued a degree in journalism. My work has since appeared in a variety of publications, including Travel + Leisure, Time Out New York, BET.com, Parents Latina, and Bon Appétit. I currently serve as the program director for Uptown Stories, a Manhattan-based nonprofit that teaches creative writing workshops for kids in my community.
I've been a teaching artist for seven years now and in that time, I've led a variety of arts and crafty workshops in large groups, smaller gatherings, virtually over Zoom, corporate events, public drop-ins during store promotions, and private lessons. For this forever student, the pursuit of learning something new is just as thrilling as the finished piece.
